Day of Rest
Today was cloudy and overcast, so we declared it a day off. We slept in, had a pancake breakfast, and relaxed. We had lunch at a BBQ restaurant with covered wagon tables in West Yellowstone. The tables and the servers in their cowboy hats and plaid shirts were more interesting than the food was good.
We walked around West Yellowstone for the rest of the afternoon and bought t-shirts and souvenirs. One thing about traveling before Memorial Day, the stores are stocked with all their new stuff. Nearly every store was putting out boxes and boxes of new merchandise.
When we returned to the motorhome, we started getting ready to move to Fishing Bridge tomorrow. It's supposed to rain tomorrow morning, so we wanted to get as much done today as we could. They were predicting snow, but I think we'll be limited to rain. Because of a road closure, we may have to cross a pass tomorrow, so I'm hoping it sticks to rain. Driving a motorhome over a mountain pass in snow doesn't sound like a good driving experience.
