2017 Yosemite Trip

Thursday, February 2

Today's forecast was for the beginning of the snow storm. But instead of swirling flakes filling the sky, we woke up to gray skies and rain. The snow line was 6,000 feet and we were at about 4,000 feet. We can deal with clouds or snow, but there isn't much you can do in the rain. Our day was spent reading, developing images, and watching Groundhog Day. The AMC channel ran Groundhog Day all day today.

Tomorrow was supposed to be the big snow day, but when we checked the latest forecast in the lodge lobby, the updated forecast predicted three straight days of rain and no snow until Monday. We returned to the room and packed everything to leave tomorrow. There was no reason to stay couped up for three days of rain in hopes of having one day of snow next week.
