Rain Day

The thunderstorms were predicted to start at 3:00 a.m., but every time we re-checked the forecast, they had moved the time back. We finally lost all confidence in the forecast and drove downtown to check out a store Carol saw on Thursday. It was a very cool store, but we managed to get out unscathed.

Since we were out and about, we drove up to the small outlet mall in Burlington. "Small" was the operative word, but we managed to find two Pyrex covers to replace the cracked ones we use for our leftovers at home. The bar for success is so low on this trip that the two new covers were the high point of the week.

We celebrated our exciting purchase by having a very late lunch at Red Robin. It was raining and we got wet as we left Red Robin, but two new lids and a good lunch made today a good day.
