2021 Death Valley Trip

Tuesday, March 23

"Wind, wind, and more wind" pretty much sums up today. We brought in our main slideout on the motorhome overnight to keep it from getting damaged if we had high winds. I don't think we had the 60 m.p.h. gusts that were predicted, but it was windy all day. We were warm and cozy in the motorhome, but the tenters weren't so lucky. I couldn't help but feel sorry for them. It was a nasty day all day.

The weather gave us a chance to develop some of our images from Zabriskie Point and the sand dunes. Basically, we took the day off. This is why we're camping here for almost two weeks. We can have a couple of lousy weather days, and we'll still get to photograph our top priorities.
