Campground
Notes

Durango RV

  • Red Bluff, CA
  • Has everything. Easy to reach and close to town.
  • Very little shade and hot in the summer
  • At turnoff to Mt. Lassen

Twin Rivers Vacation Park

  • About 6 miles west of Roseburg, OR
  • Lots of shade. Mature trees.
  • Sites are spacious and level. Roads are very narrow.

Sandy Riverfront RV

  • Troutdale, OR
  • Great campground. Get creek-side sites for shade.
  • Very convenient for Columbia River Gorge
  • Sites 192 & 193 require VERY long black water hoses--at least 30 feet

Cougar Rocks Campground

  • Mt.Rainier
  • No hookups, no cell service, and no Internet
  • Best sites: B5, B16, B19, B33, B35, C8, C12, C15, C023, C024
  • Do NOT reserve in "E" Loop. Using generators is prohibited
  • $10/night with Senior Pass

Elwah Dam RV

  • Port Angeles, WA
  • Has a nice "homey" feel to it. Nice staff.
  • First choice is Site 17 or 18. We need the length
  • Full hookups and sites are level.
  • Lots of shade.
  • Excellent Internet.

Quileute Oceanside RV

  • La Push, WA
  • Below-average campground with million-dollar view of First Beach and sea stacks.
  • Be sure to get ocean-front sites in southern section of RV Park.
  • Sites are right on top of each other.
  • No Internet Provided.

Lake Pleasant RV

  • Bothell, WA
  • Best Campground Ever! Like camping beside a mountain lake. Be sure to get a lakeside site.
  • Site 230 faces lake and has clear view
  • Don't have Website
  • The only downside is Wifi. 1 hour of free Internet/day means we either use up our hotspot allocatiion at Verizon or buy extra time through campground provider (and that is horribly slow except late at night),
  • Stay here at every opportunity!

Mt. Vernon RV Park

  • Mt. Vernon, WA
  • Quiet, clean, and convenient to Mt. Baker area and San Juan Island explorations.
  • Some shade. Sites very level and long. All pull-through sites are excellent.
  • Good food places nearby
  • Stay here next time.

Riverpark RV

  • Grants Pass, OR
  • Small campground right on the Rogue River (about 40 sites)
  • Shaded with mature trees
  • Very narrow roads and tightly packed campsites. Site "B" was one of best sites for easy access.
  • Seven Feathers RV Resort might be better alternative

French Camp

  • North of Manteca, CA
  • Level sites, but very little shade
  • Wide access roads and easy to get in and out of sites
  • About 6 miles north of Manteca and out all by itself. If you need anything, you have to drive to Manteca.
  • Biggest issue is no real Wifi service
