Can't Wait for Panda Inn
It remained incredibly hot all day today as we drove home, but everything went smoothly. We arrived at our favorite Chinese Restaurant in Ontario just a few minutes after noon. They were limiting occupancy to about 25%, so we had to wait about 20 minutes. It was well worth it! The Panda Inn in San Diego closed several years ago, so we always plan our trips to eat at the Panda Inn in Ontario on the way home.
From Ontario, we cruised home without any significant delays. We still had to put everything away, but we decided to unload the Explorer and worry about putting everything away until tomorrow. The next day, we discovered that our freezer in the garage had died while we were gone. We had just stocked up on freezer food before we left. We rolled a garbage can into the garage and emptied our refrigerator and freezer. That was PAINFUL; especially since it included throwing away the Copper Top BBQ ribs from our Death Valley Trip. We were saving them for a special occasion, but ended up losing them. Having to replace our freezer was a sad ending for our trip.
