 June Trip

It's only been a month since we were in Yosemite, but we're looking forward to getting back. We're hoping for a much better campsite than the one we had in Hodgdon Meadow. It will be very interesting to see how much the conditions have changed in Yosemite Valley in a month. I'm afraid the waterfalls will look more like August than June. I'm sure there will still be water in the Merced, but it will probably be much different than last month.

We waited for the morning traffic to clear in San Diego, but we got a good early start out of town. We even made it to the bottom of the hill without our EvenBrake going off. All was well until we reached Corona. Although we never saw an accident, we were stuck in traffic for an hour. Once we finally reached the I-10 Freeway and started to bypass L. A. through Pasadena and Glendale, we were traffic-free for the rest of the day.

We stayed in our usual Best Western in Tulare and "enjoyed" a mile walk to Chili's for dinner in 100-degree heat. The person at the motel desk seemed to have forgotten how far away it was. He thought it was only about 4 blocks. He must have been driving in an air-conditioned car the last time he checked it out.
