The Outlet Mall

Today was another travel day, but we only had about an hour's drive.

We weren't quite sure what to expect at the Ventura Beach RV Resort. We had read some horrible reviews, but that new owners were making improvements. The reviews about the freeway noise were certainly warranted. Our campsite was about 60 feet from the north-bound lanes. The request to wear wristbands any time we were in the campground was a little creepy. They are also doing some major construction on the south end of the campground, so it's extra noisy now. Otherwise, the campground was very nice. The people in the office were very nice and the grounds were immaculate. The sites were large, and the campground was laid out to make it easy to get around. This isn't wilderness camping. It's camping in a city.

We got everything set up, had lunch, and set out for the Camarillo Outlet Mall. With Columbia, The North Face, and Eddie Bauer in the same outlet mall, how can you miss? We're always excited about checking out The North Face store, but we spend a lot more money at Columbia. This trip was no exception. We both stocked up for our summer trip to Mt. Rainier and the Olympics.
