Green River

Lilly asked Carol to wait for the bus with them again, so Carol was up early. I was already awake, so I joined them. We said our goodbyes and then hit the road again.

We had an easy and scenic drive up and over Soldier Pass near Price and then dropped into the flatlands leading into Green River. We eventually found a campsite at Green River State Park and settled in. The campground is all grass and cottonwood trees with the Green River on one side and a golf course on two sides. The Green River isn't nearly as scenic here as it was in Dinosaur National Monument, but it's a very nice state campground. It even has electricity.

The farther we traveled south of Salt Lake City, the stormier it looked. When we reached Green River, it looked like it could rain any time. We had a couple of claps of thunder, but it's stayed dry so far. We have no idea what we're doing tomorrow.
