Home to Tulare
The first day is almost always one of the toughest days because we have to pack up the motorhome and Explorer, hook up the Explorer to the motorhome, and then drive 300 miles. Today was no different. We had packed all our gear and non-perishable food last night, but we still didn't leave La Mesa until 11:30.
Once we were on the road, we had a good day. We got through L. A. relatively easily and then cruised over the Grapevine and down into the Central Valley. We continued our tradition of staying at the Best Western in Tulare and enjoyed KFC for dinner.
