Tryon Creek State Park
This morning, we joined Matt, Jackie, Jayden and Kira for a walk in the woods
at Tryon Creek State Park. The park is only about 15 minutes
from downtown Portland but provides 15 miles of trails with 8 named bridges through a lush valley surrounding Tryon Creek. We hiked 1.5 miles down into the valley,
along the creek, and back up to the parking lot. Jayden and Kira weren't even phased. They had plenty of energy.
After our hike, we returned to the Flying Fish Company for a fish-and-chips lunch. It was so good on Monday, we wanted to return one more time before we left. Although it was busier, the food was just as good as the first time. We had fish and chips several times during our trip, but the Flying Fish Company was the best.
