Clean Up Day
Today dawned bright and sunny with a predicted high of 99 degrees. But, it's Redding and that’s expected this time of year. Today was a “day off” from driving and our day to clean up the motorhome at the end of the trip. We polished our beautiful cherry woodwork and cabinets, cleaned the carpets, and washed the floors. Tonight is our last night in the motorhome for a while, so we we’re getting it ready to go back in storage.
We re-packed all our gear and split it between the Explorer and motorhome for the drive home. The motorhome looks great when it's all cleaned up and with everything put away. Tomorrow night, we are staying at the Best Western in Tulare for the final night of the trip. It's a tradition. We get KFC for dinner, get showers so we are all cleaned up, and then leave for home. We enjoy the motel's breakfast buffet and then get an early start for home.
