2009 New England Trip

Friday, October 16

I had hoped to get up early this morning to shoot the Otter Cliffs right after sunrise, but the sky was overcast and gray when I looked out the window. There was nothing to do but go back to bed.

Our plan was to photograph the coastal lighthouses as we drove down to Boston. With all the gray skies, we skipped all the lighthouses in exchange for shopping at the main L. L. Bean store in Freeport, Maine. It was a nice store, but nothing like the Cabelas we've seen. Carol bought a couple things, but we spent most of our time just looking around.

Since we basically drove straight through to Boston, we arrived before dark and even had some time to relax before going to dinner. That was a nice change.
