Today was a normal work day. Only the scenery was different. I worked from the motorhome while Carol took the Explorer into the Ford dealership to have the rear window checked. When we were ready to leave Saturday morning, we noticed that the hinges that hold the back window were turning so the whole window could shift from side-to-side. The window still seemed secure, but it had the potential for disaster. All we needed was for the rear window to fall and shatter on the highway. The Ford dealer ordered 2 new hinges and told us not to open the back window. They could fix the window after we return from Crater Lake on Friday.
After work, we joined Matt and Jackie, and Jackie's family for dinner at Porter's Restaurant in Medford. The restaurant is a renovated train depot that was built in 1910. It was a beautiful night, so we sat outside on the back patio. The food was amazing, and it gave us a chance to meet Wayne and Janet Graham and their son Jessie who had just arrived from Singapore. Their other son Jacob will be flying in tomorrow.
It was a very pleasant evening and a good start for the wedding festivities.
