2012 Yosemite Trips

Friday, June 15

Today was a camp day. Because we got back so late last night, we couldn't run our generator to bring our batteries up to full charge. Our plan was to sleep in and then run the generator until we were topped off. We spent most of the morning developing our images from Glacier Point and just relaxing. Our favorite shots in the Valley are afternoon shots, so we grilled hot dogs and got packed up to spend the afternoon and evening shooting in Yosemite Valley.

That was the plan, but then we both started feeling ill. We drove over to get fuel for the Explorer, but decided we weren't feeling well enough to go out shooting. We returned to camp and spent the rest of the day watching beautiful cumulus clouds fill the sky. Shortly before sunset, they coalesced into gray skies, but we missed a fabulous opportunity to add "photographer clouds" to the beauty of Yosemite Valley.
