Today was a traveling day. We got an early start, crossed 3 significant passes, and dropped into Ashland about 2:30. The nice surprise was that it was only 82 degrees in Ashland. We were expecting temperatures approaching 100.
We had an incredible grilled tuna dinner at Matt & Jackie's and enjoyed catching up on their trip news. Matt and Jackie stayed at our house in La Mesa for a week while we were gone, so they could attend a friend's wedding. Then, they flew to Pennsylvania a week later to visit Jackie's parents for a long weekend.
It was a beautiful summer's evening to eat on the patio and watch the sunset colors paint the clouds.
