2014 Washington Trip

Saturday, August 16

Today was a "kick back" day highlighted by dinner and a musical at the Oregon Cabaret Theatre.

I stayed in camp today while Carol went to visit Matt and Jackie. I wanted a day to get caught up on sleep and relax before we start our 3-day drive home. We expected temperatures near 100 and were pleasantly surprised when they stayed in the low 80's. Our campsite is heavily shaded, so it was a relaxing day in camp.

The entire side of our campsite is bordered by blackberry bushes, so Carol picked blackberries for Matt and Jackie as well as feeding her own taste buds. I guess blackberry bushes are threatening to take over Oregon. At least the fruit is good.

We enjoyed "Ain' t Misbehavin'" at the dinner theatre. The food was good, the musical was high-energy 40's music, and it was a beautiful evening. We have certainly enjoyed our time with Matt and Jackie.
