Tuesday
Tuesday afternoon was spent with the sea otters near Morro Rock. The sea otters were much closer to shore than usual, perhaps to escape the wind gusts blowing across the area. The otters are always the center of attention, but today they had to share the stage with a very hungry sea gull. It captured some kind of rock fish and was trying to position it in its beak to swallow it whole. Just as it got the fish aligned properly, an interloper arrived and tried to steal the fish. A tug-of-war ensued, with the victor flying away with its prize.
We celebrated our anniversary with dinner at The Galley. The restaurant was right on the wharf, and the food was fabulous. That's "lots of good food" #2.
