Visit Twins
We drove to Matt's in time to join Matt and the girls for a trip to Sellwood Park. The weather has cooled, and the shady park provided lots of swings and climbing apparatus for Kira and Jayden. They love to climb on things.
After the park, we drove to the Flying Fish Company for delicious fish and chips. We enjoyed sitting at a street-side table and relaxed as we watched the cars go by on a quiet street. Portland seems to be full of these quaint, small communities that each have their own flavor and personality.
We returned to Matt's to relax for the afternoon. Or at least the adults were ready to relax. The girls were still full of energy, so Matt kept coming up with ways to entertain them. His balloon animals were a big hit, but the balloons were even more popular when they became something to wear or drag behind them. Running back and forth across the living room eventually wore them down a bit. We were worn out just watching them.
We finished the day with grilled BBQ and teriyaki chicken before it was bedtime for Kira and Jayden. It was a very good day.
