Nehalem Sunset
Today was another overcast day, but the forecast said it might clear up for sunset. Since this is our last day at Nehalem, we wanted to reprise a sunset shot from our 2019 trip in the sand dunes at Nehalem Beach. The sun came out in the late afternoon, and everything looked promising. We found a great spot amongst the dunes with good wind ripples in the sand. But it turned out that sunset was just messing with us again. When the sun got nearly to the horizon, it dropped behind a cloud bank and disappeared. We should know better. This is at least the third time this has happened. In the end, we stood around for an hour and ended up with nothing worthwhile.
When we returned to the motorhome, we noticed that we had a wet spot in the carpet at the edge of the bedroom. It was very weird. It was almost perfectly round and half seemed to be in the carpet and the other half was a dark area on the linoleum. We couldn't find any source for the dampness because the spot seemed isolated in the middle of the hallway. We'll have to find someone in Lincoln City to check it out.
